Dallmeier electronic will once again present its video information solutions to an international audience at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2022 in Barcelona, Spain. The video surveillance systems based on the manufacturer's patented ‘Panomera®’ multifocal sensor cameras are already in use in hotspots of more than 35 major German cities and many other metropolises worldwide.

Dallmeier electronic will have its own stand at this year's Smart City Expo World Congress from 15 to 17 November 2022. In Hall P2, the company from Regensburg, Germany, will show its solutions for ‘Safe City’ applications.

Improved situational awareness

The focus of the trade fair presentation is on covering large urban areas with a fraction of the camera systems required compared to conventional solutions. For example, when using camera systems with multifocal sensor technology, cities need up to 80 percent fewer systems than comparable solutions with classic megapixel cameras, depending on the requirements. For the operators of urban video security solutions, this means significantly improved situational awareness with lower personnel costs at the same time.

In Frankfurt, the police monitor an area of almost 17,000 sqm with only 14 Panomera® cameras

Due to the large coverage per camera, the technology ensures low total cost of ownership through combined savings in infrastructure, implementation, and operation.

In Frankfurt, for example, the police monitor an area of almost 17,000 sqm with only 14 Panomera® cameras, with a minimum resolution density of 250 pixels per metre (px/m, image quality ‘Identify’ according to DIN EN 62676-4).

Numerous technical features

A central issue in video surveillance for cities is also data protection. In addition to numerous technical features to comply with the ‘Privacy by Design’ guidelines of the GDPR, in some countries the legislator already requires a highly visible deactivation of video surveillance in public places.

At the event in Barcelona, Dallmeier will be showing the ‘Panomera® Privacy Shield’ for this purpose, a remote-controlled ‘privacy blind’ that can be used to cover video systems in public places remotely.

Two other topics are becoming increasingly important for cities: cyber security and ethical responsibility in investment decisions. Interested decision-makers in Barcelona have the opportunity to talk to Dallmeier experts about these challenges and learn how they can implement ethically sustainable and maximally cyber-secure video security solutions with products and solutions ‘Made in Europe’.

Video information technology

The focus is on users from the casino, smart city, airports, logistics, stadiums, and industrial sectors

In 1984, Founder & CEO Dieter Dallmeier founded what is now Dallmeier electronic – not in the proverbial garage, but in a garden shed in Regensburg, Germany.

The company, which can justifiably call itself a hidden champion for video information technology ‘Made in Germany,’ has several hundred employees worldwide, more than 250 of them at the company headquarters in the centre of Regensburg alone.

Dallmeier's camera, recording, software, and analysis solutions optimise security and processes for B2B end customers in a wide range of industries in over 60 countries. The focus is on users from the casino, smart city, airports, logistics, stadiums, and industrial sectors. But also, banks, critical infrastructure facilities as well as medium-sized companies from all sectors.

Short supply chains

With pioneering innovations, Dallmeier has succeeded time and again in placing itself at the forefront of technology: From the world's first digital image storage system with motion analysis in 1992, the patented ‘multifocal sensor technology’ Panomera® with its ‘Mountera®’ mounting system, to the latest Domera® camera family, which allows up to 300 camera variants with only 18 components.

These and many other innovations provide real, tangible customer benefits. And with a low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and a high Return on Investment (ROI) they can easily compete with systems produced and supplied from low-wage countries.

With 100% ‘Made in Germany,’ they also guarantee their customers the highest standards in data protection, cybersecurity, and ethical responsibility. With high-quality and short supply chains, they also ensure – almost incidentally – sustainability and environmental protection. From their prestigious headquarters in the centre of Regensburg, Dallmeier not only carries out its own research and development but also the complete manufacturing process – from component to product to solution.
