Video surveillance manufacturer Dahua Technology USA has launched a new line of transmission products. These network switches round out Dahua’s product portfolio to build complete, end-to-end, video surveillance solutions.

PoE switch features

Dahua’s full range of network switches are optimised for video surveillance systems. Most feature Layer 2 switch management to ensure uninterrupted video transmission, and they support most local and remote topologies including fibre optic and ring networks.

The series of PoE switches offer PoE, PoE+, and High Power over Ethernet (Hi-PoE). Hi-PoE delivers 60 W via a single port to supply power to feature-rich cameras over a single Ethernet cable. The switches use optimised power management to transmit power up to 820 feet per channel. Dahua offers a full line of accessories, including PoE midspans and extenders, Ethernet media converters, and a range of SFP fibre optic modules to extend data transmission over vast distances.

Patented extended PoE switches

Dahua is also introducing a series of patented extended PoE (ePoE) network switches that extend the transmission of data and power to edge devices. These switches employ Two-dimensional, Level Three Pulse Amplitude Modulation (2D-PAM3) Encoding that offers full duplex transmission over 984 feet at 100 Mbps or 2,2625 feet at a speed of 10 Mbps. Extended PoE technology supports long-distance power and data transmission over twisted-pair cable (PoE) and coaxial cable (PoC) easing adoption into existing IP and coaxial surveillance infrastructures.

A new selection of hardened and industrial switches boast reliable operation under adverse conditions. The Industrial-grade network switches have been subjected to rigorous temperature, vibration, and drop tests to ensure they operate in a wide-range of temperatures and environments. They feature dual power supplies for fault tolerance, protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD) and lightning, and a dust-proof design for longevity.

Visit Dahua at Booth 4145 at the ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits in Dallas, Texas, September 26- 28, and see these cameras, along with other new and innovative products from Dahua.
