JVC’s VR-X3200U NVR Series features Milestone’s XProtect Enterprise VMS

JVC is displaying its newly released VR-X3200U NVR Series with enhanced performance and expanded recording capacities at ISC West 2014. Available in configurations with 4, 8, 12 and 16 TB of internal storage, the VR-X3200U NVR Series features Milestone’s XProtect Enterprise VMS pre-installed along with 32 fully licensed channels, eliminating recurring fees. The new NVRs are ideal for stand-alone use in SMB applications, as well as for satellite operation in large networked systems.

“The VR-X3200U NVR Series with expanded recording capacities delivers comprehensive recording and camera control in a cost-effective, high performance integrated solution,” said John Grabowski, National Sales & Marketing Manager, JVC Professional Products Company, Security Division. “It’s perfect for a wide range of network system applications with long-term savings benefits that dramatically reduce total cost of ownership while providing scalability for future system expansion.”

The heart of the VR-X3200U NVR Series is its uniquely optimised 500GB internal hard drive. It provides high speed internal storage in 4, 8, 12 and 16 TB configurations with 8GB of RAM for increased performance. Units can be expanded to 360TB capacity with external NAS drives. Additional features include: H.264, MPEG-4 and JPEG multi streaming; master/slave connectivity for large system configurations without additional license fees; DVI and +VGA dual monitor support; remote set up and monitoring; and password protection. In addition, the VR-X3200U NVR Series offers an estimated 49,000 MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) to ensure reliability over extended usage.

The VR-X3200U NVR Series’ embedded XProtect Enterprise VMS from Milestone provides full-featured camera control and a friendly user interface for a turnkey solution. The integrated NVR/VMS does not have any license fees for up to 32 channels, making camera upgrades and additions cost-free, with software upgrades and support provided directly from JVC for added long-term cost savings. The units can also be expanded to 64 channels optionally.
