The AQD6 is up to 90% efficient, emitting less heat, reducing energy consumption and lowering air conditioning requirements
The units provide field selectable 6 Amps at 12 or 24VDC with up to 16 independently controlled power limited outputs

Securitron, an ASSA ABLOY Group company, proudly announced the launch of its AQD6 Series of 6 Amp Switching Power Supplies at ISC West 2014. These units provide field selectable 6 Amps at 12 or 24VDC with up to 16 independently controlled power limited outputs. The AQD6 is the industry’s first line of power supplies that are UL 294, 6th Edition listed. Show attendees can see the AQD6 in action at the ASSA ABLOY booth #8061 in the Sands Convention Center, 2-4 April 2014.

“Securitron is continuously working towards more efficient power solutions for the growing access control market, and we’re proud to announce an industry first at ISC West - with the AQD6 meeting the 6th Edition of UL 294,” said Scott Baker, President of ASSA ABLOY EMS&OEM Group. “We’re dedicated to growing our presence in the power supply market as an industry leader, but first and foremost as the most reliable choice.”

The AQD6 is a dual voltage supervised unit with a dedicated battery charging circuit which provides tight control of the 24V output while still charging the batteries with 27 Volts. It is designed to power magnetic locks, electric strikes, card readers, sensors, access control boards and other devices in access control systems, and can also be used to power cameras and DC locking equipment.

The AQD6 is up to 90% efficient, emitting less heat, reducing energy consumption and lowering air conditioning requirements, particularly when installed in server rooms. It tolerates brownout or over voltage input plus or minus 15 percent of the nominal voltage, along with thermal shutdown protection with auto restart – resulting in a highly reliable power supply.
