The CTO of Cisco's Emerging Markets Technology Group, Guido Jouret, will deliver the keynote address at ISC West on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 8:30 am PDT at the Sands Expo Center, Room 501 in Las Vegas.  The free event is sponsored by ISC West, the Security Industry Association (SIA), National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) and the California Alarm Association (CAA) and is open to all ISC West attendees.

Jouret's presentation will include a discussion of convergence - the adoption and integration of Internet-based technologies with physical security products - and its impact on the security industry as a whole.  He will also discuss the relevance and importance of strategic business partners as emerging technology drives industry momentum toward IP-networked business processes.

As CTO of Cisco's Emerging Markets Technology Group (EMTG), Jouret is responsible for developing technologies in new markets that will spur the company's future business growth.  Jouret evaluates new product and market opportunities and ensures architectural synergy between Cisco's emerging technologies and its established core products.  Prior to his role as CTO, Jouret was the global head of the Innovation Team for Cisco's Internet Business Solutions Group.

"The presence of Cisco Systems at ISC West is very significant as it clearly demonstrates how the security market has evolved to include IP and IT centric segments," said William Gorski, Chairman and President of SIA.  "The presentation by Mr. Jouret is of particular importance to SIA and ISC West as Cisco has just joined SIA as regular member and will assume a position on the SIA Board of Directors.

ISC West attendees are invited to attend the keynote with general seating opening at 8:00 am. The keynote concludes at 9:30 am with ISC West opening at 10:00 am.

"The ISC West audience, dictated by emerging technology, is increasingly becoming more diverse with dealer/installers and end-users of security products meshing with systems integrators," said Dean Russo, group vice president of the ISC portfolio.  "Cisco is a leader in IP network-based technology, development and implementation, and Mr. Jouret's keynote address will certainly be a must-attend event."

"Guido Jouret leads the team at Cisco that is doing the strategic thinking and planning related to the future of our business, technology and industry," said Jon Sargent, President of the California Alarm Association.  "His insight and global view will provide a unique perspective that will be useful in planning our own future for our companies."

The CAA will announce the recipient of the 2007 CAA George A. Weinstock Award at the Industry Summit.
