Exhibiting at the UK’s largest trade show for the healthcare sector, ASSA ABLOY will be exhibiting for the first time as its newly formed UK Specification unit, showcasing its latest innovations and solutions at the Healthcare Estates exhibition.

Attending for the third time, the ASSA ABLOY UK Specification business will demonstrate how its products can be used within healthcare projects, including doctors’ surgeries, general hospitals and care homes, at stand B39, at Manchester Central, from 7th-8th October 2014.

Among the products being showcased will be ASSA‘s SMARTair™ and CLIQ™ remote door opening solutions. The innovative systems contribute towards infection control regime, whilst improving accessibility. CLIQ™ also minimises administrative work, by allowing an administrator to grant access or to block lost or stolen keys remotely.

ASSA will also display its cylinder and thumbturns, which offer privacy to clients, while ensuring that staff can gain entry at all times. Theses have proven to be particularly popular within secure accommodation for mentally ill people. Accompanying this will be a number of anti-ligature handles developed by CLCS for secure accommodation.

The one-handed operation of Codehandle will also provide a demonstration of UNION’s ability to combine convenience with access control.

ASSA ABLOY’s range of door closers, which assist in fulfilling the duties required under The Equality Act (EA), specifically BS8300 and Approved Document M of The Building Regulations, will also be displayed. Offering cam motion, ensuring that doors are easy to open with minimal physical force.

Tina Hughan, Marketing Director for ASSA ABLOY, said: “Having gained extensive experience in the healthcare sector, in projects from secure mental health facilities, through to large-scale public sector hospital builds, down to smaller specifications, such as bathroom facilities in residential homes, ASSA ABLOY has proven that it can provide answers to some of the most pressing questions within healthcare specification.

“I am looking forward to returning to the Healthcare Estates exhibition, as it is the ideal place for us to showcase our hygienic, convenient and cost-effective solutions, whilst developing our relationship with the key decision makers in the industry.”
