Sfitex is the traditional meeting place for international and local security companies to converge

The St. Petersburg International Security and Fire (Sfitex) Exhibition, Russia’s longest running security exhibition, will mark its 21st edition on 22nd – 25th October 2012, in St. Petersburg, Russia. in 2011, the event welcomed 16,601 visitors from 38 countries.

Sfitex is the traditional meeting place for international and local security companies to converge and present their latest equipment and technologies. The event sectors include security technology; fire safety and emergency rescue equipment; road and traffic safety; and information security and counter surveillance.

In 2011, 282 exhibitors participated at Sfitex, a 13% increase from the previous year. This highlights the exhibition’s continuous growth and new business opportunities for international participants seeking to enter the Russian security market.

Georgy Poltavchenko, Governor of St. Petersburg has provided his support, stating: “This major event in St. Petersburg, with its extensive business programme, has become a welcomed tradition”. There will be an increased number of seminars, roundtables and conferences focusing on transport security, personal and public security, plus much more.

120 new products were also showcased at Sfitex, as part of the prestigious professional ‘Standard Security’ competition. The recent winners and laureates include AxxonSoft, Ravelin Ltd, Teko, NGOs Siberian Arsenal, Argus-Spectrum, SKAJROS Corporation, DSSL, among many others.
