Schneider Electric’s Andover Continuum Integrated Security and Building Management Solutions are now further enhanced with the latest generation of 3M Cogent MiY (Make it Yours) Biometric Access Control Readers.

3M Cogent MiY readers are now integrated with Andover Continuum CyberStation 1.91 or greater. The first complete integration of the MiY solution for user and credential management into a third party software, leveraging MiY’s framework, provides biometric capture and cardholder enrollment directly from any CyberStation or using any 3M MiY reader on the network.

The 3M Cogent MiY product portfolio was designed to provide integrators with a comprehensive yet easy-to-develop framework, shortening the product development time and creating feature-rich solutions for end users. The award-winning MiY product line provides single to multi-factor access control and is FIPS 201 certified.

CyberStation, a complete user interface for Andover Continuum Integrated Security and Building Management Solution, provides true integration of security (access control, intrusion monitoring, fire alarm monitoring and digital video surveillance), power monitoring, climate control equipment and energy management within a single user interface. “The successful integration of 3M Cogent’s MiY biometric access control readers with Schneider Electric’s Andover Continuum allows us to provide customers with best-in-class solutions that enable optimal, efficient building performance and reduce energy consumption, capital expenditures, and operating expenditures while also improving overall business performance,” said LK Wong, Director of Applications and Sales Support for Schneider Electric.

“Biometric access control is a rapidly growing requirement for facilities security,” commented Christopher Crump, who manages the global access control portfolio for 3M Cogent. “Integrating 3M Cogent’s MiY framework provides Schneider Electric’s customers the ability to use 3M Cogent’s high-quality biometric access control products seamlessly.”
