Connexion2, the manufacturer of the multi-award winning Identicom lone worker device range, and the provider of ‘SoloProtect' lone worker solutions, is set to capitalise on overseas expansion following an announcement that it has signed a number of strategic partnership agreements with major security companies around the world.   The partnerships agreements signed with companies in Germany, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA are turning Identicom into a global brand.

Kotter Services, Germany; Microcom, Italy; Waikato Security, New Zealand; GSS Management, Australia; Safe Harbour, Canada and Sureview Systems, USA are all building upon the success enjoyed by Connexion2 in the UK by marketing the Identicom lone worker device to companies and institutions employing lone workers.   In Australia last month, GSS Management was awarded "Best New Product" at Security 2010 held in Sydney, this was followed by German partner K?tter Services then winning the ‘Security Innovation Award' at ‘Security Essen' for their solution incorporating Identicom.

Craig Swallow, CEO of Connexion2 said:  "These partnerships are an important and significant step in our overseas strategy.  The combination of our expertise and knowledge of Identicom alongside our partners' awareness and experience of their home markets is an excellent match that has the potential to grow rapidly and establish Identicom as a world leader in lone worker protection".

The global market value of the security industry grew to an estimated €110 billion in 2009. The long-term annual growth rate is estimated to between 7 and 9 percent globally, and between 6 and 8 percent in Europe and the US. The lone worker market is anticipated to grow in the medium and long term driven by stringent employee health and safety regulations.
