Fujinon YV2.1x2.8SR4A-SA2, three megapixel vari-focal lens
At ISC West 2009, Fujinon will launch YV2.1x2.8SR4A-SA2 (pictured above), the security industry's first three-megapixel, vari-focal lens
At the ISC West convention this April in Las Vegas, Fujinon (Booth 8141) will introduce the industry's first three-megapixel, vari-focal lens designed for day/night operation - the YV2.1x2.8SR4A-SA2. Specialized optics provide crisp colour images in daylight and black and white images in darkness - without the need to refocus. The YV2.1x2.8SR4A-SA2 has a focal length range of 2.8 to 6mm, an aperture range of F1.3 to T360, and a 101-degree horizontal angle of view at 2.8mm.

With the release of the YV2.1x2.8SR4A-SA2, customers can enjoy the flexibility of a day/night vari-focal lens without compromising on width or megapixel resolution clarity. The lens incorporates Fujinon's proprietary "AT" Aspheric Technology, developed by the company's broadcast television division, to improve optical performance while reducing overall size and weight. The YV2.1x2.8SR4A-SA2's compact size and light weight make it ideal for use in outdoor domes and other outdoor applications requiring a light, compact lens.

Locking screws for zoom and focus and rugged metal mounts are standard features on all Fujinon vari-focal lenses. The YV2.1x2.8SR4A-SA2 lens is an auto iris DC -Type model.
