In 2002, COMPRION premiered IT³ Platform, the first validated platform for handset conformance testing
COMPRION has been a pioneer in providing conformance test systems

On its anniversary, COMPRION looks back on 10 exciting years in the testing industry. COMPRION has not only witnessed but actively driven the technological progress by its participation on various standardisation bodies.

Any new technology implemented without the proper amount of testing will end in disaster. 10 years ago, UICCs, handsets and other mobile devices were already tested in terms of interoperability and functionality according to the latest specified standards on the Smart Card interface.

However, at the time, there were only two SIM interface handset test specifications with a manageable amount of test cases. There was only one network standard (GSM). Tests only related to the ISO/IEC 7816 interface. Back then, all test cases had to be executed manually. Today COMPRION has a diversity of test specifications covering multiple technologies such as UMTS, LTE and NFC.  The amount and the complexity of tests have been increasing steadily. Nowadays, automated smart test systems ease the work amount of the test operator immensely.

Since its beginning, COMPRION has been a pioneer in providing conformance test systems. In 2002, COMPRION premiered IT³ Platform, the first validated platform for handset conformance testing. In 2007, the company launched COMPRION SIMfony, an innovative solution for combined handset testing with the greatest user-friendliness and highest automation level in the market. In 2011, COMPRION was again the first company to offer a validated system for SWP/HCI testing.

As COMPRION test systems are renowned for the most accurate measurement capabilities, the company serves all top handset, card and chipset manufacturers as well as operators and test houses. COMPRION also acts as supportive technological consultant for many key players in the market.
