The award-winning FE8171V is the first and foremost fisheye camera from VIVOTEK. Equipped with a 3.1-Megapixel sensor and a fisheye lens for 180° panoramic view (wall mount) or 360° surround view (ceiling/floor/table mount), the FE8171V conveniently eliminates blind spots and provides a field of view 8x wider than a standard VGA camera. With cutting-edge image processing, hemispherical images captured from the FE8171V can be converted into conventional rectilinear projection for viewing and analysis. Users can also utilise the ultra-smooth ePTZ function to zoom in and focus on a region of interest in both panoramic and regional viewing modes.

Following the recognition from Taipei Computer Association as the winner of Outstanding IT Applications/Products Award in 2011, VIVOTEK FE8171V once again receives the honour of Taiwan Excellence Symbol Award from Taiwan‘s Bureau of Foreign Trade in this year.

Following Wavestore, four other industry leaders, Axxonsoft, Exacq, Milestone and Synology, have collaborated with VIVOTEK to design and implement a robust and complete surveillance solution. AxxonSoft is a leading software developer that combines IP-based physical security management and intelligent video surveillance. Exacq Technologies is a leading developer of open architecture, scalable Video Management System (VMS) solutions for security and surveillance applications. Milestone Systems is a leading provider of open platform IP video management software. Synology is a growing company dedicated to developing high-performance Network Attached Storage (NAS) products.

"The FE8171V is one of the most celebrated models of our SUPREME series. We are confident that security specialists and end-users can benefit tremendously from our recent collaboration with other industry players, particularly our Solution Integration Alliance (SIA) Program partners," said William Ku, Director of Brand Business Division at VIVOTEK.

VIVOTEK SIA Program assists partners in tailoring and integrating VIVOTEK‘s network cameras and video servers to fit their clients‘ needs by providing technical support, software development kits (SDK) and application components.

"It has been a great pleasure working with such prestigious software companies; together we make the world a safer place," William added.
