Tyco Security Products announced recently the expansion of a strategic global partnership with Alarm.com that will enable smart interactive services for both the residential and small-to-medium commercial market.

Integration with Alarm.com

Alarm.com is a leading platform solution for the connected home, making connected home services broadly accessible to millions of home and business owners. With the integration of Tyco Security Products’ PowerSeries Neo system and Alarm.com’s cloud-based interactive services—including interactive security, intelligent automation, video monitoring and energy management solutions—dealers and integrators can serve residential and small-to-medium commercial customers with a single, scalable solution.

PowerSeries Neo combines the flexibility of a modular, hardwired system with the simplicity of a wide range of compatible wireless devices. This exceptionally flexible platform leverages the superior capabilities of PowerG—the industry’s leading-edge wireless intrusion technology—making it the most comprehensive hybrid intrusion system in the market today. PowerSeries Neo features built-in Z-Wave capabilities through CDMA and HSPA (3G) communicators, to provide best-in-class smart home control and monitoring solutions with Alarm.com.

“We’re excited to bring the next generation of smart technology to the commercial space with PowerSeries Neo powered by Alarm.com,” said Dan Kerzner, Chief Product Officer, Alarm.com. “We have seen smart home technology dramatically improve the safety and efficiency of homes and create more value for our dealer partners, and we believe there are significant opportunities in the commercial market to help business owners manage their locations, secure their properties and make them more efficient.”

Unique solution

“The integration of PowerSeries Neo and Alarm.com offers a unique solution that anticipates the future needs of the connected environment, whether a residence or a multi-tenant commercial property, and provides infinite opportunities to maximise the system,” said Tim Myers, Director of Product Management, Intrusion, Tyco Security Products. “We’re excited to expand our relationships with interactive services providers into new areas of our product portfolio and offer a wider array of choices to our customers.”

Using a multiple-partner strategy for interactive solutions, Tyco Security Products is further strengthening its role as global industry leader in the development of security solutions by aligning with the strengths of interactive security services offered by high-caliber partner brands such as Alarm.com. This strategy enhances Tyco Security Products’ footprint in the interactive security and connected home space, ensuring customers with additional revenue opportunities and enhanced service standards
