Dedicated Micros will be using IFSEC 2008 to highlight the new capabilities of its NetVu Connected CCTV systems amongst many other exciting product developmentsDedicated Micros - part of AD Group - will be using IFSEC 2008 to highlight the quantum leap in capability of its NetVu Connected CCTV systems from High Definition CCTV to major video management developments which are designed to dramatically enhance the experience of end users operating the company's systems.

Revolutionary new user interface designs being unveiled by Dedicated Micros for IFSEC 2008 include an on-screen 'Point&Go' PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) control capability - a key feature of the new advanced Oracle Dome camera, embedded camera selection maps, and the launch of an intuitive video timeline to replace ‘goto' as the de facto standard for the latest generation of NetVu Connected CCTV systems, making it much easier to reach scenes of interest in either live or recorded views.

Another key focus for Dedicated Micros at IFSEC 2008 is to be the DV-IP HD video server which will form the centrepiece of a High Definition (HD) CCTV area.  This offers a desktop High Definition CCTV system that has been designed to seamlessly record and playback HD images from the company's advanced CamVu 2000 mega pixel camera.

Also in evidence will be the advanced Baxall ICE range of mini-domes and cameras, which are now being marketed and sold by DM, including the award-winning ICED-HyperDome which is perfect for high contrast daylight/interior scenes.

Said Pauline Norstrom, Worldwide Head of Marketing at Dedicated Micros: "At IFSEC 2008 we will show installers and security managers alike that they now have access to an unparalleled range of NetVu Connected embedded CCTV building blocks from a single manufacturer.

When it comes to CCTV on the move, visitors to the DM stand will be able to appreciate AD Group's extensive transport and mobile CCTV portfolio, including PatrolVu from TSS (Traffic Safety Systems) which has been used so successfully by the police and local authorities to combat crime and anti-social behaviour.

Also on view will be TransVu Express from AD Network Video, a compact and lightweight solution targeted at smaller bus operators, public service vehicles, taxis, and suitable for covert and mobile surveillance.  Additionally, there will be an opportunity to see the dual purpose TransVu Media that allows advertising messages to be supplied to passengers on the move.

As well as on-stand activities at IFSEC 2008 Dedicated Micros is to present a number of keynote Technology and Innovation seminars in the Hall 7 Theatre: 12 May (11.15 - 11.45 am) 'Station Security for Southern' and 15 May (11.00 - 11.30 am) 'Campus Security at De Montfort University'.

In addition, Pauline Norstrom, in her role as Chairman of the BSIA's CCTV Section, is to participate in a Lunchtime Live Debate, 13 May (1.30 - 2.30 pm), discussing the issues surrounding 'Surveillance & Society'.  This forms part of the IFSEC Conference 2008.
