Dortronics Systems exhibits surface-mount back boxes for door access control devices at ISC West
Dortronics' back boxes can be used indoors or outdoors in a harsh environment

Dortronics Systems, Inc., the industry's premier supplier of off-the-shelf and custom-fabricated door control solutions, has introduced two new surface-mount back boxes for use with the company's piezo switches and other door control devices at ISC West. Available in single gang back box and a narrow jamb mount box styles, the two new back boxes expand installation flexibility and can be used indoors or outdoors in a harsh environment.

The new SS5000 Series Surface Mount Back Boxes feature radiused corners and a brushed 630 finish that perfectly complements contemporary door frames and hardware. Mounting of the heavy duty, stainless steel boxes is easy using the included hardware and plastic plugs for two ½ inch in diameter wiring knockouts and earth ground.

“We developed these new surface-mount back boxes in response to the needs of installers in the field,” said John FitzPatrick, President of Dortronics Systems, Inc. “There are a lot of installation variables, and our new SS5000 Series Surface Mount Back Boxes provide installers with ability to easily accommodate the job at hand, while combining aesthetic appeal with security and functionality.”

The new Narrow Jamb Mount Box (#SSN500351) is only 1 ¾ inch wide; the Single Gang Back Box (#SS500351) is 2 ¾ wide. Both measure 4 ½ inch tall and 1 ½ inch deep. They are the latest addition to Dortronics' range of door control solutions, which includes electric locks with up to 1,500 pounds of holding force, power suppliers, PLC-based mantrap controllers, alarm modules, actuating controls/switches and accessories.
