Dedicated Micros - part of AD Group - has strengthened its popular Eco range of entry-level DVRs with the launch of the advanced Eco16.

The Eco16 offers small businesses - such as retail outlets - an affordable but extremely effective digital recording solution.  With its extra channels it can be connected to up to 16 cameras, comes with a choice of 160GB or 300GB hard drives, and supports record rates of up to 25pps (PAL) 30pps (NTSC).

In operation, the NetVu ObserVer software bundled with the Eco16 supports multiscreen, quad display and picture-in-picture viewing of live, recorded and archived video on a networked PC.  The Eco16 also has the distinction of being the first product in the Eco range to come with NetVu Connected technology built-in, ensuring interoperability with a wide range of Dedicated Micros and AD Group products, including the DV-IP Server and new DS2.

Designed with ease of use in mind the Eco 16 is ready to 'plug and record' straight out of the box and for evidential purposes comes with an integrated CD-R (CD Writer) as standard.

Pauline Norstrom, Worldwide Head of Marketing at Dedicated Micros said: "The high spec yet affordable Eco16 represents a significant upgrade in capabilities for our entry level Eco DVRs.  The extra channels mean that in a retail environment, for example, more cameras and in-store spot-monitors can be driven from the same unit offering enhanced flexibility and the potential to be a long term solution for a small business."
