Surveon, the complete megapixel solutions provider, recently announced the latest advanced functionalities for its full line of IP cameras, giving partners the competitive product selections in the megapixel surveillance market. “Surveon’s advancements in image control and bandwidth optimisation, along with the industrial-grade components, in-house design and production, and 3-year warranty, enable SIs to easily standout in the megapixel project biddings, and it is a win-win move for both Surveon and partners,” said Casper Wu, product manager of Surveon.

Smart Image Optimisers

While conventional cameras use advanced sensors to improve image quality, dynamic lighting situations resulting in inconsistent quality remain a major challenge. With the smart image optimisers, Surveon cameras can analyse lighting changes and automatically adjust the image functions to ensure clarity can be obtained under different lightings.

Smart Auto WDR/HDR

Conventional cameras only allow users to switch on/off the WDR/HDR function. The Smart Auto WDR/HDR can be automatically activated or deactivated according to the lighting changes, refraining images from being too bright or too dark.

Smart Shutter

The Smart Shutter is used for capturing precise images of fast-moving objects by adjusting the shutter speed automatically to avoid captured images going blurry or dragging using the conventional shutter settings.

Smart AE (Smart Auto Exposure)

The conventional cameras adjust the general exposure and allow either underexposed shadows or overexposed highlights. The Smart AE automatically adjusts the exposure based on a targeted area to bring out the proper exposure for the overall image.

Smart AF (Smart Auto Focus)

The Smart AF allows users to apply auto focus on a targeted area, showing the clear image of the region that really matters.

Bandwidth Saving & Storage Management

To solve the network bandwidth and storage issue with megapixel recording, Surveon cameras are equipped with the following advanced functions:

ROI (Region of Interest)

Users can create up to eight independent regions with the ROI, each with different video quality and frame rate, saving up to 30% of the network bandwidth.

H.264 SVC-T (H.264 Scalable Video Coding Times)

This function allows users to select different bit streams, automatically detects the bandwidth level to adjust the frame rates, and delivers the suitable streaming to avoid lagging or freeze frames.

Offline Recording

To ensure no video loss, when the connection between camera and NVR is down, the recording can be automatically saved to the local storage (SD card) and resent to the NVR when the network is recovered.

In addition to these new and advanced features, Surveon megapixel cameras offer many other professional functions, such as real-time video analytics, IP67, vandal proof, IPv6 and HTTPS network protocols supported.
