Secutech 2011 will be held in Taipei in April 2011
Several IP surveillance manufacturers and suppliers will be exhibiting at Secutech 2011
Leading IP surveillance manufacturers and suppliers will display their latest products at more than 600 booths at Secutech, held 20 - 22 April 2011 at the Nangang Taipei World Trade Centre, Taiwan. The show is organised by Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd, a leading integrated media company dedicated to the security industry, organising Secutech trade fairs as well as publishing 12 A&S magazines and operating several websites.

The show expects to attract a record-breaking 560 exhibitors and more than 25,550 professional buyers to source security products and services from components, devices and software to total solutions in more than 35,800 square metres of exhibition space.

The 2011 event is featuring the world's largest IP surveillance pavilion where a comprehensive range of products and services ranging from IP cameras, transmission devices, DVR, NVR to video content analysis and VMS software will be showcased.

In addition, the show has attracted a number of well-known Asian IP manufacturers such as Brickcom, CNB, Dynacolor, GVD, Hikvision, iCatch, Infinova, ITX, Koukaam, Nuuo, Pinetron, QNAP Security, Vivotek and Wonwoo. During the show, two new theme areas will be featured:

  1. Video Software: Video analysis and management are turn-key technology in the integration of a security system.Software such as IVS/VCA or VMS/PSIM will be highlighted.
  2. Video Storage & Recording: With the continuous growth of high resolution cameras, storage devices such as NVR and NAS play an important role in the industry. This theme area is Asia's first special zone dedicated to the most advanced storage devices.

Special events to meet different needs of industry players

Secutech 2011 is organising a number of industry events to discuss the latest IP solution issues.

The Asia IP Surveillance Summit will feature the world's top IP camera brands sharing insights into Asia's IP surveillance development. To help Asian system integrators keep up-to-date with IP migration, many leading IP surveillance providers will discuss topics on standard, transmission requirement and new applications in Asia.

The Video Storage Management Forum is one of several Global Digital Surveillance Forum (GDSF Asia) events where information storage safety and efficiency will be discussed. Topics will include redundancy reducing, new algorithms, and hybrid storage and green performances.

The Video Software Forum aims to promote awareness of VCA and VMS as well as fostering cooperation between hardware makers and software developers. The forum will include a series of educational seminars and software demonstrations.

IP surveillance sector offers abundant business opportunities

Compared with traditional analogue cameras, megapixel and HD cameras with IP solutions can provide better image resolution, increased coverage area, longer recording time and smart search capability. As a result, the industry is anticipating that network cameras will replace analogue cameras within 10 years.

According to the IMS Research, the global network video surveillance market increased by 18 per cent and the analogue video surveillance market decreased by five per cent in 2009. It is expected that network cameras, especially the eco-friendly IP installations, will have tremendous growth from 2011 to 2013. In addition, the industry is expecting that more than half of the network cameras will be HD or megapixel resolution by 2014.

Secutech is part of Messe Frankfurt's global network of security trade fairs. Messe Frankfurt also organises five other leading security trade fairs: Intersec in Dubai, Secutech Thailand, Secutech Vietnam, Seguriexpo Buenos Aires and Intersec Buenos Aires.
