Andrew International’s Brian Gimlett will be responsible for various types of investigations for clients
Brian Gimlett brings more than 16 years of corporate security experience

Andrews International recently announced that Brian Gimlett has joined its New York office as the Senior Vice President for the Consulting, Investigations, and International Division. Gimlett brings to Andrews International (AI), an affiliate of U.S. Security Associates, more than 16 years of corporate security experience preceded by a distinguished 22 year career with the United States Secret Service. In his role with AI, he is responsible for the various types of investigations AI conducts for its clients, both domestic and international, as well as risk assessments and executive protection.

Previous experience

Previously, Gimlett was the Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer for NYSE Euronext. In this role, he was responsible for the security of the iconic New York Stock Exchange as well as NYSE locations in New Jersey, Chicago, and San Francisco. Internationally, he was responsible for Euronext options and stock exchanges in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Lisbon. Gimlett was also in charge of security at the NYSE offices in Beijing, Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore, and Doha. Gimlett was the NYSE's primary liaison with local, state, federal, international law enforcement, and intelligence agencies.

U.S. Secret Service career

Before joining NYSE Euronext, Gimlett served as the Executive Director of Global Security for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. Prior to Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Gimlett worked at MBNA America Bank, where he was the Senior Executive Vice President in charge of Corporate Security, Aviation, and Fleet Departments. During his tenure at MBNA, Gimlett also served an extended period of time as the Director of Employment.

Prior to starting his corporate career, Gimlett spent 22 years with the U.S. Secret Service. His most recent assignment was as the Special Agent in Charge of the New York Field Office, where he was responsible for all of the Service’s criminal investigations and protection in the southern half of New York State and the State of Connecticut. In this role, he has directed security arrangements for numerous high profile events, including the President of the United States, various Heads of State and Pope John Paul II. Gimlett is recognised nationally for his accomplishments in federal law enforcement initiatives and as an expert in alternative dispute resolution in the role of Ombudsman.
