CEM Systems, a leading access control brand of Tyco International, announced recently that it will showcase its latest industry innovations at Intersec Middle East, (Stand 4116C) during 13 - 15 January 2008.

"As the largest security event in the Middle East, Intersec offers CEM the ideal platform to launch its latest and industry leading access control innovations," commented Philip Verner, Sales & Marketing Manager of Tyco International's CEM products.  "The new S610 multi-technology IP card reader will be on display for the first time and the event will also allow us to demonstrate how taking advantage of PoE plus technology has enabled CEM to be the first to reliably offer power over Ethernet access control to the industry," added Verner.

The new and cutting edge S610 multi-technology card reader marks a new hardware platform in the industry's most advanced S600 family of card readers.  Available in both S610s for on-board serial connectivity and S610e for on-board IP connectivity, the reader features a ‘new look' enclosure that is in fitting with the architectural designs of modern office buildings.  The reader has the ability to support a range of card technologies including 125 KHz Proximity, 13.56 MHz MiFare and PicoPass technology and is also available as a multi-technology option to enable customers to easily migrate from traditional Proximity to MiFare smart card technology.

Another industry first on display is the revolutionary CEM DIU 220 (Power over Ethernet Door Interface Unit) that offers 1.6 Amp to reliably power a complete door set (consisting of a controller, two 650mA Maglocks, door holder, sounder and strobe) using one CAT5/6 Ethernet cable.  Eliminating the need for mains power at the door the DIU 220 can be installed by IT network/security installers without an electrician, offering clients the benefit of a complete IP solution at a low cost.

With a solution range that is accessible to all, CEM will also be showcasing its web-based webEntry II Pro access control system for entry level to medium sized applications.  Totally web-administered, webEntry II Pro offers clients the benefit of completely managing their property wherever they are and regardless of time using a standard web browser.

Visit Stand 4116C at the ‘commercial security' section to meet with CEM professionals and gain advice from experts with many years experience in the security and IT industry.
