Hikvision Digital Technology - the world's leading supplier of digital video surveillance products and solutions, recently announced an addition to its analogue camera portfolio with the new 650 TVL CCD Day / Night Camera - DS-2CC1192P(N)(-A).

Although IP-video represents a growing segment in the surveillance industry, analogue cameras still occupy a sizable percentage of this overall market. However, the continued commercial success of analogue largely rests on the development of new technologies.

One such example is higher TVL.

Analogue resolution is usually measured by TVL, with 540 TVL representing the industry standard. Recently, certain top-shelf manufacturers have developed higher TVL product lines - such as 650TVL - to provide better image quality. Hikvision remains a leader in this trend; and the DS-2CC1192P(N)(-A) 650 TVL CCD Day / Night Camera is newest example of state-of-the-art analogue technology.

This DS-2CC1192P(N)(-A) camera integrates Sony CCD technology to achieve its higher resolution of 650 TVL. This camera also has tremendous sensitivity. A Day / Night function (0.1 lux at F1.2 with AGC on) allows it to see both highlights and darker areas effectively. Additionally, an IR-cut filter switches on/off to further enhance this sensitivity in B/W mode.

This camera also comes equipped with "Wide Dynamic Range" technology and an "auto iris" with DC/Video drive feature to compensate backlight; and deliver excellent clarity in extreme or contrasting lighting conditions.

Additional features also fully supported include "Digital Noise Reduction", "Power synchronisation", and auto-white balance.

The DS-2CC1192P(N)(-A) 650 TVL CCD Day / Night Camera fully meets security requirements for financial institutions, government, airports and more.
