Any organisation considering utilising IP cameras absolutely must choose a product that is both easily installed and easily maintained. As for installation, the initial focusing of the lens generally requires two technicians - one to physically adjust the lens and the other to view the trial-and-error results on a monitor. Hikvision’s latest camera series, incorporating a motorised vari-focal lens with remote zoom and One-Touch Focus technology, directly addresses this slow and cumbersome installation process. This new functionality now permits focusing the lens to be completed remotely on a computer - quickly and easily, and without the old mess.

Unlike before, customers can now adjust the zoom function through the camera’s convenient user interface (i.e. Hikvision’s iVMS-4200 video management software or IE Client). This allows the previously-stated adjustment of the camera’s zoom function, and also permits the finalisation of this procedure with one simple press of Hikvision’s One-Touch Focus control button. It’s that easy!

Furthermore, if the camera ever later loses focus, there is no need for the customer to physically return to the camera’s location for a tiresome manual re-focusing. Remote zoom and One-Touch Focus ensure a quick, and accurate, zoom and focus adjustment of any image … and all from your computer!

Without a doubt, when an installation involves high resolution surveillance or difficult physical installations, such as height, weather concerns, or unstable physical conditions; Hikvision’s remote zoom and One-Touch Focus gives the user an edge that older technology simply cannot match.
