Raytec took over 220 pictures in their IR photo booth at security event, IFSEC 2013, UK
Raytec VARIO Infra-Red LED lighting provides quality images in utter darkness

Raytec did something a little different this year at IFSEC by hosting their very own Infra-Red photo booth!

Raytec asked all unsuspecting visitors of IFSEC 2013, ‘Have you ever wondered what you look like under Infra-Red?’, then invited them into their IR photo booth to find out and have a little fun in the dark - with props provided! In addition, there was the chance to win a Kindle Fire for the best photo each day of the show!

Captured using VARIO Infra-Red LED lighting, subjects found out how they looked under IR and despite the IR photo booth being in complete and utter darkness, Raytec were still able to provide superb high quality images.

Buzz Coates, Raytec’s Global Business Development Manager says; “It made a real change for visitors to the show to be able to have a little fun in the IR photo booth – dressing up in the dark and pulling some funny faces. Many people may recognise some familiar faces - in some very unfamiliar poses. But I guess there is a serious message too – that to deliver good quality pictures in low light, even with the very best cameras, requires good quality lighting.”

During the course of the show, Raytec took over 220 pictures in their IR photo booth, proving what a great success it was.

The winners of the best photos each day were announced as follows:

  • Tuesday: Kate Tompsett, Jon Forbes and Chris Owen – Secure Engineering UK
  • Wednesday: Colin Beech and Keith Harwood – Wembley Crime Prevention
