Aimetis Symphony secures China Art Museum
Aimetis provided the museum a single platform to upgrade the existing system to an IP network-based solution

Aimetis Corp., a global leader in intelligent video management software, recently announced that Aimetis Symphony™ has been deployed as the video management software platform for China Art Museum in Shanghai, China.

Aimetis Symphony provided China Art Museum with a single platform for upgrading their existing CCTV system to an IP network based solution that includes a scalable system to easily add new network cameras as needed. The system is also one of the largest installations in the region using the latest technology available in network cameras from Axis Communications.

“We selected an integrated solution from Axis and Aimetis because of system scalability, openness and compatibility. These benefits will allow us to drastically improve our monitoring immediately and also give us flexibility to adapt to our long-term interests. With Axis industry leading IP-cameras and the stable platform of Aimetis Symphony, our monitoring system has improved functionality and enhanced user experience”, said Qian Jinyi, Deputy Director of Security Department, China Art Museum.

Aimetis partnered with Shangan, a leading system integration company that provided the system installation and project management to deliver a turn-key solution. "Aimetis Symphony is the centerpiece of our network video solutions offering," said Liu Chengfa, Director of Security Department, China Art Museum. "The software is easy to administer and scales nicely to meet the needs of large enterprise projects like this at China Art Museum.”

China Art Museum has installed Aimetis Symphony to work with 1,200 new and existing analogue and IP cameras, with approximately 5% of cameras running Aimetis video analytics. The number of cameras is estimated to increase to 1,500 as China Art Museum grows and expands.

"The large scale deployments segment is one of the key vertical markets where Aimetis solutions add tremendous value to our customers” said Marc Holtenhoff, Chief Executive Officer, Aimetis. “We are extremely pleased that China Art Museum has selected Aimetis Symphony as their video management platform."
