Paul Wong appointed new Managing Director Paul Wong has been appointed Managing Director of Bosch Security Systems, responsible for all sales operations in the UK.  He succeeds Jeremy Hockham following the latter's promotion to take over BSS' sales operations in the Americas at the end of 2007.

Paul has worked in the security industry for more than 22 years, and has particular expertise in CCTV and Access Control.  Having qualified as an Electronics Engineer, he joined CamEra Holdings in 1985, spending 10 years with the business and rising to Project Engineer before moving into product marketing with Sensormatic.  After a successful period with Sensormatic, he joined Norbain in 2001, ultimately becoming Divisional Director of Branded Products and Technical Services.

His new role will include building upon the Bosch ‘brand' as a leading technology provider within the security industry, a name synonymous with quality and performance, and a business that delivers ‘reliable solutions from a company you can trust.'  His expertise in specific product areas and in distribution will be particularly valuable in delivering further growth and expanding Bosch's existing BSS Dealer programme.

"My challenge is to further strengthen the name of Bosch as a credible player in high quality CCTV, intrusion, fire detection and PA/VA solutions," he says.  "We are well on the way to achieving this goal, but there is still much to be done, and it is encouraging to have such a strong management team around me to help drive the business forward."

For the past eight years Paul has sat on both the CCTV Section and the CCTV Technical Committee of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) of which he chaired for over four years.  He has also served as Chairman of the Electronic Security Section (CCTV) and UK CCTV Expert for the British Standard Institute (BSI).
