Steve Van Till, Brivo President and CEO
Brivo Systems and network camera leader, Axis Communications join together in technology relationship

Brivo Systems, LLC, the leader in Web applications for access control and security systems, today announced that Brivo President and CEO, Steve Van Till, will join Axis Communications General Manager, Americas, Fredrik Nilsson, in delivering a highly topical panel presentation at the TechSec Solutions Conference in Dallas, commencing today. Brivo recently teamed up with Axis in a new cooperative technology relationship.

The panel, "Security as a Service: The Next Wave of Integrated IP-based Monitoring," includes Andres Armeda, IT Director, for Secure-i, Inc., in addition to Van Till and Nilsson. Secure-i recently announced a technology partnership with Axis, so the panel, which showcases IP-based monitoring solutions, brings together three related, major players in the rapidly growing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) market.

Brivo Systems has seen remarkable growth over the last several quarters as end users from small and medium-sized businesses to Fortune 1000 enterprises turn to the SaaS model for hosted access control to achieve scalability, improved ease of use, and lower total cost of ownership. In partnering with Axis, Brivo is now extending its offerings to include direct video integration with the award-winning Brivo ACS WebserviceTM.

"Major industry leaders such as Microsoft and Oracle are making significant investments in SaaS systems, demonstrating strong validation for our business model," said Van Till. "The Brivo ACS WebService™ offers hassle-free scalability with an unlimited number of accounts. The investment to get started is much lower than traditional systems, and unlike the large capital expenditures that bring unwelcome surprises when hardware needs to be upgraded; a SaaS-based system spreads payments out to more manageable and predictable ongoing operating expenses. In the current economic climate, we are seeing a major spike in interest in SaaS solutions for physical security."

Industry veteran Fredrik Nilsson is no stranger to panels and presentations which predict industry trends and help navigate where the security industry is going, "The Software-as-a-Service model fits very well for large deployments using a couple of network cameras per site, and provides flexibility and image quality previously not available using using analogue systems. Brivo has well-established expertise in SaaS for physical security, we look forward to working with them, and I think the audience at TechSec will enjoy the complementary perspectives we three panelists will offer."

The Brivo / Axis / Secure-i panel is scheduled for 24 February, 1:30-2:30: "Security as a Service: The Next Wave of Integrated IP-based Monitoring": Increased bandwidth, better compression and hosted security systems are making Security as a Service a reality, alleviating the task of software maintenance, ongoing operation and support. This panel will explain how IP-based monitoring solutions are effectively used in providing SaaS, outline the benefits of this new model and provide real-life examples of its usage.
