Agent Vi will be presenting its comprehensive video analytics solutions, including BI Portal at ISC West

Agent Video Intelligence (Agent Vi), the leading global provider of open architecture video analytics software, announces the launch of "BI Portal", a cloud-based video analytics service which allows aggregation, analysis and presentation of data acquired from surveillance systems at different locations through a single, web-based interface.

BI Portal is a cloud-based service added to savVi – Agent Vi’s comprehensive video analytics platform which provides real-time event detection, video search, and now expanded and even more robust business intelligence capabilities. It enables the aggregation of business and operations-related data acquired by surveillance systems, such as people and vehicle counting, occupancy, crowding and speed analysis. Such data is analysed and presented in a wide variety of user-friendly statistical reports, graphs and presentation formats.

Video analytics service for business intelligence applications

BI Portal benefits customers such as retailers and other multi-site operators, who require insight into operations at their various sites. The web interface, which is accessible from the user’s personal computer or mobile device and can be easily customised to suit the user’s specific needs, enables effective analysis of site activity at the different locations as well as easy comparison of the performance of the different sites. This data can further be used to allow identification of trends and predictions of traffic and other parameters such as activity, occupancy and more, at each site.

"BI Portal is an ideal solution for customers with multiple sites, who now have access to the most advanced, video-based, business intelligence capabilities, through a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform. In essence, we are enabling video cameras to become IoT devices by extracting key data from the video, uploading it to the cloud and allowing aggregation and analysis of that data from multiple sources through a single interface," states Itsik Kattan, CEO of Agent Vi. "Agent Vi will be expanding its SaaS offering to allow customers in a variety of vertical markets to enjoy Agent Vi’s innovative video analytics technology, with the increased simplicity delivered by cloud-based architecture in a SaaS model."

BI Portal will be available in June 2015 and will be offered as a service with a monthly fee.
