Maximum Impact Awards recognises products and services that make an impact on security integration and monitoring companies
Honeywell received the awards for its MAXPRO Cloud hosted service and 58160 wireless transmitter

Honeywell received two 2012 Maximum Impact Awards for MAXPRO® Cloud hosted video service and its 58160D wireless  magnetic contact at the Electronic Security Expo (ESX) held in Nashville, Tenn. June 25-29. MAXPRO Cloud was awarded Best Services: Security as a Service, and 58160D wireless transmitter was named Best Alarm Equipment: Intrusion Sensors and Detectors.

MAXPRO Cloud is Honeywell’s hosted-video service that gives organisations access to their video surveillance anywhere there is an Internet connection. The system supports both analogue and IP cameras, offers flexible video storage options, and automatically notifies users of alarms and system events. MAXPRO Cloud is also designed to simplify the transition from analog to digital video by eliminating the need for IT expertise or challenging firewall configurations.

58160D is a weatherproof, water resistant outdoor wireless contact designed to perform in extreme temperatures from -40F to 150F. 58160D can be used to protect gates, sheds, detached garages or any other outdoor area with an exit or entry point. The product has two unique zones. The first loop is a normally closed circuit contact that can have external devices wired directly to it. The second loop is a built-in magnetic reed switch that can be used to protect gates. It also works with Honeywell’s Total Connectä Remote Services, which can notify users via e-mail or text messages when activity is sensed in the protected area, and is compatible with all Honeywell VISTA controls.

“These awards demonstrate the commitment Honeywell has to innovation,” said Scott Harkins, president of Honeywell Security Products Americas. “Solutions like MAXPRO Cloud and the 5816OD build on the industry’s movement toward hosted and remote services, giving our customers the ability to remotely control and manage security using mobile, Internet-enabled devices – capabilities that have come to be expected by more customers today.

The annual Maximum Impact Awards recognises products and services making a real bottom line impact on security integration and monitoring companies. The winners are selected by a distinguished panel of judges drawn from the leadership and ranks of ESX’s owner and sponsor associations, CSAA and ESA.
