American Fibertek, Inc. video network solution gaining interest among industry professionals
American Fibertek, Inc. (AFI), the security industry's leading independent supplier of transmission solutions for security applications, continues to aggressively cultivate a new base of IP customers and develop partnership relationships with suppliers of professional video surveillance products for the company's V'nes Video Network Enterprise Solution.

"We could not be more pleased with the reactions and comments we've received to date on V'nes functionality and cost-efficiency," said Mr. Fernandes.  "V'nes represents a new direction for AFI - one which provides a viable network transmission and control solution that combines the latest technologies with functionality designed specifically for security professionals."

Comments on V'nes from leading equipment suppliers include:

"We are very excited about our partnership with AFI," said Fredrik Nilsson, General Manager, Axis Communications.  "The V'nes is a flexible, PoE compliant solution that complements the Axis network video products."

"We are very happy, here at PCSC, to be working with AFI's new Commander C10e POE switch," stated Masami Kosaka, President and CEO at PCSC.  "We applaud their forward thinking engineering and appreciate that they have incorporated compliance to the new, soon to be ratified, IEEE standard into their product.  The Commander C10e is much more than just a PoE switcher.  This command center is a vital part of a well planned PoE infrastructure and allows PCSC's innovative PoE access control components to be deployed in the most cost effective manner."

"AFI has done a terrific job in terms of evaluating the present and future needs of security professionals and has addressed those issues quite comprehensively with the on-going development of V'nes," said Frank Abram, SANYO Fischer Company, Security Products Division.  "V'nes features a truly open path that provides interoperability for existing and new system deployments.  This seamless approach to systems configuration is a win-win situation for users, resellers and equipment and software suppliers."

The complete suite of V'nes systems products on display at ASIS 2008 includes: Commander Series IP Communications Switch, Scout Series Environmental Monitoring System, Pilot Series Video and Network Management Software, Director Series Dedicated Server Storage Solutions, MaxiView Series Video Streamers, and MX Series Multi Port Media Converters.  New enhancements to the core line of V'nes systems components includes Commander Series IP Communications Switches with additional PoE and analytics functionality, the new Net I/O Network Video Recorder Interface with real-world alarm functionality, and enhancements to Pilot Series Video and Network Management Software.
