Orion’s technology features Beam Scanning Optical Detection (BSOD), an algorithmic pattern that allows authorised users to effortlessly pass through the lane
Orion will be showcasing their foundational access control solutions along with their software

Orion Entrance Control, Inc., a leading provider of innovative and customised access control solutions, will be debuting at ISC West 2015 in Las Vegas at the Sand Expo Center, located in the Venetian, Booth #5135, with a Kindle Fire HD giveaway. Orion will be featuring their Optical Barrier Swing Glass – High Glass (OBSG-HG) solution that comes with 3/8-inch, clear, tempered, “no-touch” swinging glass. The clarity this glass offers provides a clean, modern look to any lobby while maintaining the highest security standards.

Beam Scanning Optical Detection for secure access:

Orion’s technology features Beam Scanning Optical Detection (BSOD), an algorithmic pattern that allows authorised users to effortlessly pass through the lane while manipulating laptop bags, briefcases, bags and purses. BSOD allows for faster throughput as it scans the lanes in both directions simultaneously, and the lane’s ¼-inch detection provides a low number of false alarms with the highest degree of security screening.

Orion will also be showcasing their foundational access control solutions along with their software.

“We have exhibited at ISC East for several years and we are very excited to add ISC West to our repertoire of events,” said Steve Caroselli, President, Orion Entrance Control, Inc. “We are looking forward to highlighting and demonstrating our foundational products that provide barriers to entry for enhanced access control along with our OBSG-HG Optical Barrier Swing Glass – HG, latest software features and Autodesk Seek Revit tools.”

Orion access control range at ISC West:

Other access control solutions to look forward to from Orion Entrance Control, Inc. at ISC West come with a standard stainless steel finish and a Corian top, offering access control contingent on the use of an access card or other credential. Authorised entry produces a top-mounted, LED-lit, green arrow indicating the direction authorised as well as a chime sound indicating the user may pass.

Unauthorised access and tailgaters are singled out by visual and audible alarms. These solutions include:

  • Slim Line Pure Optical (SLPO) – This slimmer version of Orion’s Pure Optical access control solutions offers 6 beam, single direction and single detection for lower level security applications.
  • Optical Swing Arm Barrier – Double Arm (OSAB-DA) – The double arm features Beam Scanning Optical Detection technology with “no touch” arm barriers that act as a visual deterrent to would be trespassers and tailgaters.
  • Optical Drop Arm Barrier (ODAB) – Featuring the same technology as the double arm barrier, this solution offers a “no touch,” single arm deterrent.
