L-R Octavian Security directors, Sarbjit Bitter and Sam Singh
Just weeks after announcing the arrival of director Kavita Oberoi who now co-owns the business with founder Sukhi Ghuman - security company, Octavian Security has announced the further board appointments of Sam Singh as operations director and Sarbjit Bitter as finance director.

Sam Singh, who joins Octavian from BP, where he was UK Fuels quality manager, will bring over 25 years experience of quality management in the oil, gas and chemical industries to the Octavian operations team.

Joining Octavian from world top ten accountancy firm, RSM Tenon, Sarbjit, who has a vast experience of providing specialist financial consultancy to fast growth AiM listed businesses, has been appointed to strategically plan and financially manage Octavian's future growth.

Both Sam, as a former Octavian client, and Sarbjit as a former consultant to Octavian, wanted to join the business and saw the recent restructure as a perfect time to get onboard.

"As an Octavian client at BP and a chartered quality professional and chartered safety practitioner, I was always in awe of the efforts the company made to raise the service level bar," explained Sam Singh.

The industry experience and professional competence that Sam and Sarbjit will bring to Octavian Security is immense

"The company's quality service delivery and innovation is an example to others, and I want to use my quality assurance skills to take this to another level and help to expand our offer across dozen more blue chip companies."

Sarbjit added: "Having known the Octavian team for a number of years, I knew that the core business model was robust and a further strengthening of the management team would position the business well going into the highly regulated yet fragmented security services market."

Sam Singh and Sarbjit Bitter join co-owner and director Kavita Oberoi, managing director Kiran Ghuman, chief operating officer Jot Engelbrecht, commercial director Tony Mellor and non-executive director and former Chief Constable of Nottinghamshire Police Steve Green on the board of Octavian Security.

Kavita Oberoi, said of the new board appointments: "Octavian is an incredibly strong brand that has survived one of the worst recessions the world has seen. Our brand equity has always been quality, which is why Octavian will always continue to attract high calibre industry professionals like Sam and Sarbjit. The industry experience and professional competence that they will bring to the business is immense and we are incredibly excited about the opportunities that the new board structure will bring."
