Skyguard’s MySOS device is the smallest and lightest GPS alarm in Europe

Skyguard – Europe’s premier personal safety service, are pleased to announce that Quattro Telematics are the latest organisation to join their Business Associate Programme.

With offices based in the UK, Ireland and Switzerland, Quattro Telematics are a leading European provider of vehicle tracking and workforce management solutions. The partnership allows Quattro Telematics to distribute Skyguard’s MySOS lone worker safety solution to clients across the UK and Europe, complimenting their existing product portfolio.

Skyguard’s MySOS device is the smallest and lightest GPS alarm in Europe, providing lone workers and vulnerable individuals a simple yet effective way to call for help in any situation. Its intelligent design allows the MySOS to be worn as a pendant around the neck, or secured to a belt, keyring or ID-badge holder.

GPRS technology provides fast and effective alarm transmission, with SMS as a backup, while two-way audio allows Skyguard’s controllers to listen-in to the user’s environment and talk to them, if it’s safe to do so. Skyguard’s UK-based Incident Management Centre is certified to BS 8484 and BS 5979 (Category II), and manned 24/7 by trained controllers who will immediately respond to alarm activations following the user’s pre-defined escalation procedures.

"The partnership allows Quattro

product portfolio"

In an entirely independent development, Quattro Telematics have uniquely integrated the MySOS with Geotab’s GO6 by embedding the Near Field Communications (NFC) tag, allowing the device to be used as a Driver ID Tag. By simply touching the customised MySOS pendant to a small NFC-reader in the vehicle, drivers identify themselves to the installed Geotab system. The vehicle can then be started and driven as normal; enhanced management reports are produced, Health & Safety requirements are adhered to and the need for personnel to carry multiple devices is eliminated.

Speaking about the partnership Russell Cockerton, Quattro Telematics’ MD, said “Although we have become well known for the supply of Geotab fleet telematics and management solutions, we had been receiving many requests for assistance with lone worker solutions and after doing our homework opted to partner with Skyguard. We believe their focus on a high quality product coupled with industry leading service and support, matches our own philosophy and that of our other partners. The MySOS solution is neat, affordable and above all totally reliable.”

Skyguard’s Marketing Director, Will Murray, added “We’re delighted that Quattro Telematics have joined our growing Business Associate programme as a Skyguard Distributor. Quattro’s rapid integration of the MySOS with an NFC tag to create a unique driver protection solution, is testament to both their ingenuity and the flexibility of our product. We look forward to seeing many more innovative adaptations of our product range in future from this partnership.”
