Hikvision’s line of IP cameras aims to revolutionise the surveillance market by offering a kit of "SMART" features

As video surveillance continues to incorporate IP into their products, security manufacturers have started to consider how "SMART" technology can enrich their own product lines. Areas such as smart design, smart analytics, and smart storage are being actively explored to strengthen product competitiveness. Hikvision is well-prepared to meet this latest trend with its upcoming professional line of IP cameras which aims to revolutionise the surveillance market by offering a kit of "SMART" features, as highlighted below:

Smart ROI: Based on user-defined ROI (region of interest), cameras can decrease non-ROI-s image quality to save on maximum bandwidth and the device-s load.

Smart SVC (Scalable Video Coding): This smart feature decreases storage data fps, so as time passes, storage space is saved for newer data.

Smart Heater: By taking advantage of Hikvision’s industry-leading design, these newest outdoor domes feature a Smart Heater that improves the cameras- usability in cold and freezing weather conditions. This Smart Heater automatically pre-heats before the camera-s boot-up, and intelligently turns on or off according to the camera-s internal temperature.

Smart Facial / Motion Detection: These are some of the newest functions added to Hikvision-s professional line of IP cameras. They are able to detect up-to 24 human faces, then capture their facial images or trigger an alarm.

Smart Focus: Features ABF (Auto Back Focus) for box camera models, and a "One Touch Focus" Motorised Vari-focal lens for dome and bullet camera models. However, both benefit users with convenient and easy installation.

Smart VDQ (Video Quality Detection): Automatically self-diagnoses to detect any issues relating to storage, network connection, lens direction, or tampering.

Hikvision is showcasing its wide range of advanced products at ALL-OVER-IP Expo 2013 in Moscow on 20-21st November 2013. The trade show takes place at Sokolniki Expo, Pavilion 4, Moscow, Russia.
