Traka has been a Lenel OAAP partner since 2009 and offers comprehensive key management compatibility with OnGuard

The certification allows security staff to access Traka intelligent locker systems through OnGuard cardholder credentials

Traka, a leading developer of intelligent key and asset management solutions around the world, announced recently that following testing of its Key Control and Locker Solutions with Lenel OnGuard 2012 and OnGuard 2013, it has been officially Lenel-certified as an OpenAccess Alliance Program (OAAP) partner for those solutions. Lenel, a market leader in integrated access and video software solutions, is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

Traka has been a Lenel OAAP partner since 2009 and offers comprehensive key management compatibility with OnGuard.

The interface is significant for end users looking to control access to and audit facility keys, fleet vehicles and high-value assets including tablets and radios. It also helps end users who are seeking centralised administration from the familiar OnGuard environment. The certification allows security staff to easily grant access to keys and assets secured in Traka key cabinets and intelligent locker systems through standard OnGuard cardholder credentials. Traka’s customisable events and alarms (e.g., item taken, item returned or item overdue) are posted to the OnGuard alarm monitoring application, which provides limitless alert, notification and reporting possibilities.

With strong growth over the past few years, Traka anticipates a great opportunity to accelerate its expansion with this strategic agreement with Lenel. “Making Traka’s industry-leading products available to Lenel value-added resellers (VARs) has been a key priority and this certification is a significant milestone in Traka’s growth plans,” said Stephanie Hensler, international channel manager, Traka.

“Lenel is constantly looking to enhance the products and services available to its channel, and we are delighted to have Traka on board as part of the extended product portfolio available to our Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) VARs. The OAAP certification of Traka products maximises the value of the Lenel offering for our end users,” said Wouter Vansteenkiste, business development and OAAP manager, Lenel EMEA.

Ninety-two of the Fortune 100 companies are already using Lenel’s OnGuard system for access control and security. Now, businesses can meet their key and asset protection needs by implementing Traka’s advanced key management and locker systems to provide a total solution for security and facilities management.
