GO Outdoors, leading outdoor retailer
Leerose Integrated Systems installed CCTV and intruder alarms at GO Outdoors' six new stores
The continued UK expansion of leading outdoor retailer, GO Outdoors has resulted in a major security contract for Leerose Integrated Systems, part of Secure Options Group, with CCTV and intruder alarms now installed at six new stores.

Specialising in tents, camping equipment, outdoor clothing and accessories, Sheffield-based GO Outdoors has gone from strength to strength in the recession, benefiting from the growing number of holidaymakers that chose to take country and camping holidays at home this summer rather than going abroad.

Earlier this year the retailer announced major plans to expand its portfolio of stores  to a total of 30 by 2011 and new outlets at Coatbridge, Pudsey, Wolverhampton, Bristol, Harlow and Basildon have all seen Leerose Integrated Systems specified.

The Leerose installations include comprehensive intruder alarm systems integrated with fully monitored CCTV, and electronic locking, with staff key override, on all fire doors. The CCTV systems at these six stores, together with existing cameras at 10 earlier sites, are all now directly linked back to Secure Options' remote monitoring station in Oldham. Here staff can take control of the system using pan, tilt and zoom cameras to get detailed images and records of intruder incidents at any of the sites.

Mike Williams at GO Outdoors' head office in Sheffield said: "With over 20,000 big brand outdoor products sold in each store we need a robust security system that can be remotely monitored 24/7 to detect any attempted break-in or robbery. Leerose has developed a sophisticated, integrated system that we have been happy to roll out across all our latest stores."

Leerose director, Graeme Oliver added: "As more and more people decided to take country and camping holidays at home this year, GO Outdoors is one retailer enjoying strong sales growth and expanding its stores UK-wide. Leerose is delighted to have added this growing brand to our retail client portfolio."
