Rail customers using CNL Software IPSecurityCenter PSIM have experienced increased operational efficiency
IPSecurityCenter PSIM is deployed in some of the largest rail projects in the world

CNL Software, a world leader in Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software, will be demonstrating its IPSecurityCenter™ PSIM solution for mass transit at Middle East Rail in Dubai, on the 8th and 9th of March 2016. It comes at a time when rail security becomes of increasing significance in the Middle Eastern region.

Enhanced passenger safety

Rail security has an increased significance in the region not only with the introduction of a multi-billion dollar project to connect GCC nations with over 2000km of rail infrastructure but also with the investment in faster and more efficient transportation networks for cities such as Dubai, Riyadh and Doha who are undertaking major metro projects.

IPSecurityCenter PSIM is deployed in some of the largest rail projects in the world from significant national rail projects in the UK, and metro and subway projects in major global cities; protecting billions of passenger journeys each year, centralizing the monitoring of CCTV footage and increasing the storage capability for forensic data. Rail customers using IPSecurityCenter PSIM have experienced increased operational efficiency, faster detection of threats and dramatic reductions in time taken to obtain footage – all helping to keep the networks from facing extended downtime in the event of an incident.

Protecting Middle Eastern rail networks

“The new GCC rail network is due to be operational in 2018 with a planned 2,177-km line linking all six Gulf States for the first time as well as major industrial zones, cities and ports which will bring with it the need for heightened security”, comments Daniel Bloodworth, General Manager ME - CNL Software. “Our IPSecurityCenter PSIM solution sits at the heart of some of the largest security solutions in the world and is perfectly positioned to offer integrated security solutions to protect Middle Eastern rail networks.”

“The organisers of Middle East Rail estimate that there are some 16 major railway projects worth US$352 billion currently under way to establish a strong passenger and freight transport networks across Middle Eastern & North African countries”, says Adlan Hussain, VP Marketing - CNL Software “Mass transport security is now becoming of increasing concern in global cities. From passenger safety to accident response to terrorist threats, the need for an intelligent security system has never been greater.”

CNL Software will be on Stand F33 in the UK Pavilion, where it will be exhibiting along with other leading UK companies.
