CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS was established 30 years ago to promote the brand new smart card technology

TRUSTECH has been chosen because trust in the integrity and protection of sensitive data is critical

The CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS trade show has taken place in Paris every year for the last 30 years. Today, it is recognised as the leading international event in the secure payment, identification and mobility sector.

In 2015, CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS will change its name to TRUSTECH to reflect significant evolution in the sector and in the event itself, which focuses on trust and security technologies and solutions.

 Keeping pace with changes

CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS was established 30 years ago to promote the brand new smart card technology. Since then, it has witnessed and supported the emergence of many new technologies, and the discovery of new uses for these technologies. For 30 years, industry experts from all over the world have been converging on Paris to explore the latest trends in digital interaction and transaction technology.

The name TRUSTECH reflects the evolution of the industry. It has been chosen because trust in the integrity and protection of sensitive data is such a critical aspect of the ongoing development of new applications and uses in our increasingly interconnected world.

TRUSTECH aims to be a strategic crossroads for the international trust technologies sector. It is a mixture of communication, innovation and business activity for all the players in the market, and a place where future technologies and brand new uses take shape and grow.

Must-attend security event

It is estimated that, by 2020, around 50% of the world's population will have access to the Internet. Two thirds of people across the world will have smart phones, and 50% of all transactions will be made using smart portable devices. By 2020, hundreds of millions of people will have smart watches or bracelets. Half of the world's population will have electronic identity cards. 80% of vehicles and their passengers will be connected, and 1.2 billion smart phones will have NFC technology.

Given the rapid digitalisation of society, TRUSTECH is the must-attend international event in the digital trust and security calendar. Over three days, all the latest developments in secure connection and transaction technologies will be brought together under one roof, thus helping to shape the future of this rapidly evolving sector.
