BSIA Awards acknowledge achievements of apprentices involved in installation of alarms, CCTV, access control |
The British Security Industry Association has recently opened the 2016 Apprentice Installer Awards for nominations. These esteemed awards recognise the very best emerging talent from the electronic security industry.
Acknowledging security apprentices
Awarded by the BSIA, the Apprentice Installer Awards serve to acknowledge the achievements of second and third year apprentices involved in the installation of alarms, CCTV, access control or a combination of these systems. Now in their sixteenth year, the awards also represent the commitment of security companies and training bodies in providing new talent with the opportunity to succeed in the security industry.
BSIA’s Annual Luncheon event
This year’s awards will be presented at the industry’s most prestigious event, the BSIA’s Annual Luncheon, which is set to take place at the London Hilton on Park Lane on Tuesday 12th July 2016. The awards are presented by a high-profile public figure during an outstanding award ceremony, attended by some of the industry’s most influential figures.
Nominations can be made for apprentices from security companies – including non-BSIA member companies – certified for their activities by a UKAS accredited certification body. The scheme is designed particularly for third year apprentices or outstanding second year apprentices.
James Kelly, Chief Executive of the BSIA, comments: “The security industry has a wide range of rewarding career opportunities available and an apprenticeship is an ideal way to begin a career. Recognising the skills of our industry’s newest recruits is essential in encouraging them to commit to a long-term career in security. The awards enable us to ensure that their hard work, commitment to customer service and technological expertise are suitably rewarded.”
