Boon Edam Inc., a global pioneer in physical security entrance products, is focused on 'Securing the Future' with new and innovative enhancements to its continually growing portfolio of secured entry solutions on display at ISC West 2024 in booth 23051.

These latest enhancements are further testimony to Boon Edam’s global commitment to delivering superior products and exceptional customer support and technical service.

Secured entry solutions

The changing global climate for physical security has intensified as new challenges emerge for private and public institutions across all areas of classification,” said Patrick Nora, President and Managing Director, Boon Edam.

He adds, “Once considered specialised solutions for high-security applications, security entrances are now widely regarded as a mainstream necessity for perimeter security and to mitigate insider threats. As we are demonstrating here at ISC West 2024, Boon Edam continues to rise to the challenge by delivering the latest innovations in secured entry solutions.”

Initiatives and products in the ISC West booth

The following initiatives and products are being showcased by Boon Edam in ISC West booth 23051:

  • The aesthetically pleasing Lifeline Speedlane Swing Optical Turnstile features a sleek stainless steel cabinet and multi-colour LEDs to guide users through the secured entry process. The solution uses intuitive sensors and glass swing gates to mitigate unauthorised entry and tailgating.
  • Another featured solution for mainstream applications, Boon Edam’s Speedlane Compact Optical Turnstile provides added security in areas where space is limited but a high level of aesthetics and styling are required. These unique speed gates utilise advanced tailgating and safety detection sensors to protect against unauthorised access, alleviating pressure on security guards or personnel.
  • Boon Edam is also displaying Amazon One Enterprise, the palm-based identity service, which will be integrated with the company’s Speedlane Compact. Amazon One Enterprise enables organisations to provide a fast, convenient, and contactless experience for employees and other authorised users to gain access to physical locations, as well as digital assets.
  • Boon Edam’s Turnlock 150 Full Height Turnstile is constructed with heavy-duty aluminium and designed to operate in a similar fashion as a revolving door. The solution is being demonstrated with the BE Secure Overhead Detection System anti-piggyback overhead detection system that utilises Time-of-Flight measurement principles (TOF) combined with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to detect when two people try to enter the same compartment on the turnstile using one credential.
  • The Tourlock 180 Four-Wing Security Revolving Door provides high security in areas with heavy foot traffic. The Tourlock features the StereoVision® overhead sensor system, which uses smart, near-infrared technology to generate accurate 3D images of the users to ensure only one person is present in the revolving compartment.
  • Boon Edam’s Circlelock Solo is a space-efficient circular interlocking door system that guarantees only one person can enter a secured space at a time. The Circlelock Solo uses StereoVision® technology and also integrates with biometric devices for multi-factor authentication.
  • Boon Edam is also featuring a smash-resistant laminate film designed to prevent vandalism amongst a range of its glass-equipped security entrances. This film works to keep glass intact upon impact after an attempt(s) to break the glass is made. The result is a strong barrier of glass that protects against unauthorised entry and smash-and-grab burglaries while deterring further criminal behaviour. The smash-resistant laminate film can be applied to Boon Edam’s Tourlock, Circlelock, and Lifeline Swing series of products.
