BCDVideo has unveiled storage and warranty enhancements on the acclaimed SuperNova Server Series of enterprise recording systems. The BCD215-120-MP-C now accommodates up to 120TB of internal video storage. This 25% storage increase supports 100TB of RAID5 useable storage within the 2U chassis.

Deliver two distinct solutions

"We're excited about the product platform," states Jeff Burgess, company president and founder. "The BCD215 is now at 100TB RAID5 useable, while the BCD228 is at 200TB RAID5 useable. This allows us to deliver two distinct, robust solutions to the security integrators in minimal rack space."

Historically, if you needed over 100TB of storage it was defaulted to a costly, external SAN/NAS environment, as more economical solutions were not available. In comparing the cost of a 200TB server to a 200TB SAN solution, the customer savings is quite substantial. The high availability requirement is already built into the failover capabilities within the video management software. This offers maximum cost-efficiency.

Upgraded warranty

Additionally, BCDVideo has upgraded the warranty on these two SuperNova Servers from the standard five-year next business day to five-year 24x7x4-hour coverage - all at no additional charge. This service offers 24x7 service, including on Hewlett Packard Enterprise holidays, with a four-hour, on-site response time.

Adds Burgess, "We are seeing global deployments in hospitals, government agencies, arenas, casinos, and other sites relying on large amounts of storage. It became apparent that these higher availability video servers needed an equally high availability service solution. The 24x7x4 warranty protection just makes sense."

The 24x7x4 warranty is standard on the two SuperNova Servers effective January 1, 2016. Upgrade options are also available for systems purchased prior to that date. An upgrade path on the BCDVideo Nova Server Series systems for the standard Next Business Day Service Warranty to 24x7x4 are also available.
