BCD, the global pioneer in purpose-built video data infrastructure solutions, announced the hiring of Hassan Makki and Wael Noureddine, both of whom will join the company’s rapidly growing Middle East, Russia, Africa, and Turkey (MERAT) team.

Work experience and education

Mr. Makki, who is based in the United Arab Emirates, has 15 years of security industry experience. He spent the past eight years as Regional Sales Manager – Video Surveillance, IoT, Computer Vision, Smart Cities at Dell Technologies. Before that, Makki was employed by Axis Communications as Business Development Manager in Dubai, where he worked with channel partners and handled distribution, A&E, and ADP programs within specific territories in the Gulf Coast Council (GCC).

A 2005 Bachelor of Science in Computer Communication and Engineering graduate from C&E American University, Makki began his ascent into the security marketplace at Emirtec Eastern Technology, and then Anixter. Makki will continue his security career at BCD as Regional Sales Manager – Video Surveillance, IoT, Computer Vision, covering the UAE, Kuwait, and Russia.

Education and work experience

Based in Riyadh, Mr. Noureddine comes to BCD in the newly created position of Regional Sales Director for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, East Africa & Levant. He brings with him more than 15 years of experience in the security and IT industry after starting his career journey upon obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Computer and Communication Engineering in 2006.

Noureddine handled different roles, including presales, account, and sales management in various countries across the GCC until 2015, when he joined DELL EMC and spent six years in the capacity of Regional Sales Manager for the Video Surveillance, Security and IoT business in Saudi Arabia, Egypt & Levant.

During his tenure at DELL EMC, Noureddine managed to establish the Security and Surveillance division in KSA, where he rapidly developed and grew the security business throughout the Kingdom and supported customers during their transformation journey.

Addressing surveillance complexities

Makki and Noureddine will rejoin their former Dell teammates Rami Fakhreddine, Gurhan Yildiz, and Fredy Issa at BCD. These latest additions to the MERAT team will greatly strengthen BCD’s local presence and help the company achieve its long-term strategic growth goals for the region.
