Barco, a projection solutions provider for the global training & simulation market, is proud to launch the new F80 series. This versatile and reliable projector series ensures enhanced brightness and clarity for land-based training applications.

Superior image quality, unprecedented business value and ultimate installation flexibility are the hallmarks of the F80 series. Available with WQXGA (F80-Q7) or 4K UHD (F80-4K7) resolution, the F80 series delivers stunning imagery with highly saturated colors that allow for accurate color reproduction always.

Flexible projection configurations

With its wide array of all-glass lenses and wide lens shift ranges, the F80 series accommodates almost any projector configuration. Together with the ultra-robust F70 series and ultra-bright F90 series, the F80 completes Barco’s F-range, which fits the projection needs of most simulation applications and budgets.

The F80 series builds on the fundamentals of the other Barco F-series laser phosphor projectors, namely installation freedom, flexibility and 4K resolution. For users, this translates as image uniformity, increased uptime and very low maintenance (as no lamps need to be replaced).

Barco Pulse Single Step Processing

The constant brightness and long-life color performance is further bolstered by Barco Pulse’s unique Single Step Processing (SSPTM) technology that delivers 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) resolution in only one step. This means that the simulator systems offer a sharper image and much higher overall image quality with less latency compared to other products on the market.

Dave Fluegeman, Director of Barco’s Simulation division, comments: "The versatile F80 series is reliable, flexible, cost-efficient and easy to set up and use, and projects superb colors at up to 4K UHD resolution. This makes the F80 the perfect fit for individual skills and team training applications, as well as other commercial and military programs that require the needed precision for an unmatched business value.
