ASSA ABLOY announces their latest innovation in keypad access, the Yale nexTouch Keypad Exit Trim. Available in touchscreen or pushbutton models, this exit trim provides key-free convenience as an upgrade or retrofit solution for exit devices in commercial, multi-use and multi-family environments.

From small business office spaces to commercial facilities to multi-family residences, the move to keyless devices can improve security and simplify access control,” said Bill Grambo, President, Access and Egress Hardware Group, ASSA ABLOY.

Avoiding security issues

The Yale nexTouch Keypad Exit Trim makes this transition easier, being specifically designed to meet customer demand for a keypad door lock that is compatible with exit devices such as push or panic bars.”

The Yale nexTouch Exit Trim features patented adjustable mounting posts that allow for installation on many types of existing exit devices, without requiring additional mounting hardware. Pushbutton and capacitive touchscreen models are available, and both can support 500 unique user codes.

The Yale nexTouch Keypad Exit Trim helps future-proof all types of facilities for evolving technology

As a result, commercial and multi-family environments can upgrade or retrofit their existing exit door hardware with simplified installation and avoid security issues and costs associated with lost keys. Not only does the Yale nexTouch Keypad Exit Trim support upgrades from mechanical keys, it also helps future-proof all types of facilities for evolving technology.

Keypad access solutions

With the addition of a module in the back of the lock, the exit trim is capable of supporting data- on-card or wireless technology, so commercial spaces, mixed-use properties and multi- family facilities can add more advanced security as requirements change and grow. This exit trim also has a 9V battery backup and privacy mode function for enhanced security.

It offers voice-guided programming in three languages and meets ADA requirements. Available in a range of finishes and lever styles, it complements the design of any facility. The nexTouch Keypad Exit Trim joins the Cylindrical and Sectional Mortise as the latest innovation in Yale’s nexTouch keypad access solutions. The full range of Yale nexTouch products will also be featured at GSX 2019, where ASSA ABLOY (booth #1303) will showcase the latest in security solutions.
