Aratek recently announced the upcoming launch of the TruFace Manager app, which will run natively on TruFace Smart Terminals as an all-in-one client for enrollment, identification, authentication, access control, as well as other functions.

‍“TruFace is filling the strong demand for contactless digital identity brought on by the pandemic,” noted Samuel Wu, Aratek’s VP for International Business Division, adding that the TruFace Manager app will make the TruFace line even more indispensable.

‍Features

TruFace Manager is packed with useful features, such as the Thermal Scanner, which can detect fever while simultaneously running face recognition and the Live Monitor functionality which flags the presence of persons with fever as well as those not wearing masks.

‍“The global health crisis has forced us to adopt life-saving protocols and TruFace is an effective tool for both the government and private sector to enforce such measures wherever these solutions are deployed,” Wu said.

It can prevent unwanted presence by setting access levels according to respective work schedules

‍TruFace is also ideal for physical security and access control as it can effectively bar entry for people on a blacklist. It can also prevent unwanted presence by setting access levels according to respective work schedules and denying entry to off-duty personnel for example.

Its Liveness Detection feature prevents spoofing by rejecting and flagging any attempt to use a photograph for identification.

‍Additional features and compatibility

Aside from face-enforced identification, the TruFace Manager app also supports fingerprints and cards, the added modalities ensuring TruFace’s maximum usability across many applications.

It supports multiple report types allowing the download of attendance, access control, or thermal scanning reports directly from the device when the connection is unavailable.

Other features of the TruFace Manager app include a robust user profile that supports multiple users with different levels of access, Fahrenheit and Celsius support, and an intuitive menu-driven interface.

Face and fingerprint-enabled authentication

BA8200-T is designed to capture, register, and authenticate faces, and guarantee accurate facial recognition anywhere

‍The TruFace Manager will initially support the BA8200-T Smart Terminal which is equipped with a Thermal Scanner for accurate contactless fever detection. The BA8200-T is designed to capture, register, and authenticate faces, and guarantee fast and accurate facial recognition anywhere.

It supports efficient face and fingerprint-enabled authentication, giving users the flexibility of using their preferred modality depending on environmental conditions.

An advanced solution

BA8200-T also comes equipped with an RFID card reader, making it one of the most advanced solutions for identification and authentication in the market.

Immediately after its launch in 2020, the TruFace series of Smart Terminals found wide application in public health, law enforcement, border security, access control, transaction verifications, and even in retail.
