Flood will ensure the continued success of Integrated Biometrics partner services infrastructure

Integrated Biometrics (IntegratedBiometrics.com), creator of the world’s lightest, fastest, and most innovative FBI-Certified fingerprint scanners, recently announced the addition of security industry veteran Andrew Flood to its growing team of talented professionals.

Increase in mobile biometrics

In his role, Flood will ensure the continued success of Integrated Biometrics partner services infrastructure as the company continues to experience widespread acceptance of its market-leading, patented light emitting sensor (LES) fingerprint technology.

“As global adoption of our certified biometric fingerprint scanners continues, Andy’s vast technical and organisational leadership will help empower our identity management partners as they develop new applications,” said Integrated Biometrics Vice President David Gerulski.

Flood’s background includes biometrics, video analytics, surveillance, security, counter-terrorism and access control at high-visibility facilities. With 18 years in the industry, he has cultivated a unique technical and leadership skill set with emphasis on fast growth, engineering intensive service organisations.

“Working in integration-intense environments that rely heavily on cutting edge security solutions has provided valuable insight into the ergonomics and ease-of-use challenges that that come with successfully implementing biometric solutions,” Flood explained.

He pointed to the growth in mobile biometrics as a key industry issue which Integrated Biometrics is able to address.

Application of LES thin film technology

“From a mobile solution standpoint, integrators are craving a very small footprint, low power requirements, high tolerance for environmental issues, and the ability to put a higher resolution scanner into the field,” Flood said, adding, “Our LES technology allows integrators to put FBI-Certified biometrics in devices they couldn’t before.”

Integrated Biometrics designs and manufactures the world’s lightest, fastest, most accurate, FBI-Certified fingerprint sensors for solution providers building advanced biometric enrollment and verification products.

The company’s patented LES thin film technology is proven effective for mobile applications it is not confused by foreign matter, works on moist or dry fingers, and resists abrasion.

Integrated Biometrics partners with well-known, respected technology providers such as Akiyama, AMREL, Aware, BETHCOM, Booz Allen Hamilton, Corvus Biometrics, Credence ID, InCadence Strategic Solutions, Intellitech, Mobizent and NEC.
