Amberstone Security, one of Europe’s suppliers of intelligence-led manned guarding, security technology solutions, and loss prevention services have announced a security services contract with supermarket giant, Tesco.  

Amberstone Security will provide security solutions for over 330 Tesco stores across Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Northern England to help keep customers and staff safe while they shop and work. 

The Essex-based security company impressed during a rigorous 10 month-long tender process, competing against several other UK leading security companies. Amberstone’s data-driven approach to saving their clients' money whilst simultaneously reducing risk will enable a supply of over 700 security officers through manned guarding solutions, which include static and roaming security officers, and risk solutions to Tesco stores. 

Comprehensive risk analysis

Amberstone Security’s latest security contract has the potential to offer vast employment opportunities Jim McFedries, Group Operations Director at Amberstone Security has been heavily involved in initiating the contract since it was awarded in mid-August 2021, and says, We are delighted to be working with Tesco to supply security for their stores across the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.”

A recent study indicated that the global Manned Guarding Market is expected to grow and be worth $220 billion by 2024.

This encouraging news coupled with Amberstone Security’s latest security contract has the potential to offer vast employment opportunities to security personnel with an SIA Licence in the future.
