Gallagher uses Philips Semiconductors contactless Mifare standard technology to provide the platform for its Smartcard range.  Multiple applications and operating independence on one card are the benefits of this technology.  The Prox Plus reader is card and PIN unit, used where more security than card only is required. The illuminated PIIN pad allows the cardholder to enter a PIIN in conjunction with a card.  An LCD panel provides user feedback icons making the system easy to use internationally.
