RAIDs are high capacity external hard disk expansion units that provide additional long-term storage capabilities for Dedicated Micros DVRs. Each RAID gives DM DVR users up to 180 days of extra storage in 24-hr time-lapse mode. RAID units are currently available with 6 to 8 hard disks, with capacities of 1.2TB and 2.4TB. Each DM DVR can have up to a maximum of seven mixed external SCSI devices e.g. several RAID units and an external CD Writer.
