Hikvision DarkFighter Gen-2 DeepinView cameras

Product Profile

Hikvision has introduced its latest innovation in low-light imaging with DarkFighter 2.0 technology. This advanced system uses AI Image Signal Processing (ISP) algorithms to significantly enhance night-time imagery. Alongside this, Hikvision is launching a new generation of DeepinView cameras, which feature improved performance and a range of intelligent functionalities.

Evolution of DarkFighter Technology

Hikvision’s DarkFighter technology began with the original DarkFighter cameras, known for their large sensors that captured bright images in low-light conditions. The technology advanced through DarkFighterX and DarkFighterS, which offered better image clarity and colour reproduction in dim environments. DarkFighter 2.0 represents a major leap forward, integrating advanced AI ISP to address optical challenges in dynamic scenes. This results in excellent image and video quality regardless of light conditions and movement speeds.

What DarkFighter 2.0 Brings to the Table

DarkFighter 2.0 enables high-quality, 24/7 colourful video capture in various lighting conditions. It provides precise details of objects in the dark, even when they are moving at different speeds. This technology is particularly effective in dynamic and complex scenes with ultra-low light, making it ideal for monitoring areas such as crossroads and parking lots around the clock. For instance, DarkFighter 2.0 can now capture the plate number of a speeding car in the dark while maintaining clear details of other objects in the scene—something conventional CCTV cameras struggle to achieve.

Key Features of DarkFighter 2.0

The impressive performance of DarkFighter 2.0 is due to several new features:

  • SharpMotion: Minimizes image noise and motion blur.
  • ShotN: Captures clear images of moving objects through flexible exposure settings.
  • Auto Wide Dynamic Range (AWDR): Enhances light adaptation for smarter image processing.
  • High Frame Rates: Ensures smoother motion capture.

Integration into Gen-2 DeepinView Cameras

DarkFighter 2.0 is being incorporated into Hikvision’s Gen-2 DeepinView camera lineup. These new cameras come with full DarkFighter 2.0 capabilities and additional enhancements, including dual AI functionality. This feature allows two AI algorithms to operate simultaneously, such as perimeter protection and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) in a parking lot. This versatility makes the Gen-2 DeepinView cameras suitable for complex applications.

Hikvision's introduction of DarkFighter 2.0 technology and the Gen-2 DeepinView cameras marks a new era in low-light imaging. These products offer unparalleled image quality, advanced AI capabilities, and versatile features, providing exceptional performance and flexibility for a wide range of security needs.

DarkFighter 2.0 will soon be available in DeepinView-Series Omni Cameras, Ultra-Series X6 Cameras, and Ultra-Series PTZs, too.
