Myrtle Beach's Barefoot Resort relies on Brivo for enhanced security
Barefoot Resort is a 2300-acre vacation paradise in Myrtle Beach. The resort has 14 communities, several pools, golf courses, tennis courts, bike trails and walking paths. Omni Management Services oversees many of the communities, manages resort operations and directs homeowner associations.
Previously, all the Omni Management communities relied on standard lock and key and telephone access systems to protect their facilities. The telephone entry systems proved inefficient, and Omni was concerned that the thousands of keys in circulation represented an expensive threat if re-keying was needed.
Pam Basilicato, Community Association Manager at Omni, was looking for a more effective way to manage access for the properties when Joey James of STOP Security suggested that she consider Brivo's cloud-based access control solution. Initially, Omni installed Brivo at the Barefoot Resort Club and at the Clearwater Bay condominiums.
Basilicato experienced the power and flexibility of the Brivo solution and when James proposed installing Brivo at additional properties, Basilicato was on board, "I was thrilled. We didn't hesitate to install Brivo at more properties."
To date, Brivo has been installed at pools, clubhouses, and residential units. The system manages 24 access points across five of Omni's properties for over 3,000 Barefoot Resort residents, vendors, staff, and temporary visitors. Basilicato commented, "With Brivo, I'm much more productive. We are constantly getting calls from residents and guests, and now it's so easy to take care of their access needs. I've had no difficulty convincing any of my Boards to adopt Brivo. They're very happy that we're more efficient and effective in meeting their needs."
